Oh, mine was about a 3.4/3.5 this year (Freshman year). I stupidly took some advanced classes that weren't AP or Honors so they weren't weighted on my GPA and wound up being a little tougher than a standard class would've been, but I got no extra credit for taking them.  |

i agree with you on some things... Gay Marriage- This in my opinion is just wrong...it desecrates the sanctity of marriage...i mean if two guys are allowed to get married what will stop me from going out and getting married to a cow or somthing...if we allow gay marriage we have to allow everything! I believe in civil union...but Gay Marriage is wrong. Israel/Lebanon: In my opinion Lebanon is getting just what they deserve. they attack Israel on a daily basis....Israel is just sick and tired of dealing with it. Lebanon should know better than to mess with Israel also...Israel doesn't screw around! they deal with terrorism the right way...quickly and with force. Stem Cell: i have a REAL problem with this...its ok i guess if the baby died of natural causes...and they want to use the fetus for research. but abortion is horrible and should be outlawed. i just dont understand how liberals can endorse abortion then turn around and stand against capitol punishment...how does that make sense??? Abortion is murder...plain and simple. You do make many points. Gay marriage I agree with, but for me its not as terrible as you make it out to be. I would still say no in a vote. As for Israel, yeah they do need to step up, but attacking and killing many civilians and dangering international citizens in the process is a little extreme. If they accidently kill an American I can bet Bush will start agreeing with the other U.N. members and want a ceasefire. This terrorist group, not the Lebanon government, attacked Israel and kidnapped their soldiers. What should of been done is Lebanon send its own troops, with the aide of Israelis into the Hezbollah controlled part of Lebanon. Israel has taken little by little until they couldnt handle it and just blew up and now may be the start of a big war involving more countries. I have a question though. I know Israel is our big alli and we have probably sold or given them weapons, but why are they the only advanced Middle East country? You dont see Lebanon with fighter jets, or any other country. Israel seems more like a western country then a middle eastern one. For the stem cell, like I said, if its for cloning and making organs like hearts, livers, lungs, that a person might need replaced due to a disease or something, im in favor fo it. I am not for abortion though, or cloning humans, and sex choosing. I dont know if you guys have heard or read about that, but I am really against it. I would make it illegal, but it isnt in some places. |

Israel is advanced because of us...we give them pretty much everything that they have. and you cant go in and only attack a terrorist group because they live with the normal people! thats the problem! Israel is just sick of this middle eastern shit...they have to deal with it EVERY DAY!!! you live in Germany right...well...imagine if a country like France shot missiles at you every single day...not only that but they also suicide bomb your subway system on a regular basis...along with open market places...how would that make you feel??? And you cant say that Lebanon has nothing to do with it because they, along with Iran, are the ones that fund Hezobollah. Lebanon is getting what they deserve....Israel wants peace...Lebanon wants to kill the Jews! you cant have it both ways...so Israel is starting to do things the Reagan way...PEACE THROUGH FORCE. Perhaps your right, but I still think they should be careful. Many lives are at danger not involved in the conflict, and Israel might make someone mad if they kill a civilian that isnt Lebanonesse (is that what they are called?).
What about North Korea? Whats your take on them?

I don't know much about the Korea situation. We studied the Korean "Conflict"/War this year but didn't really do much on the current situations there and what's in the news right now. I just wonder why we've done so much to try to stop Saddam Hussein because he supposedly had WMDs but we haven't invaded North Korea who's bomb threats seem just as real, if not even more.

if we wanted to we could pretty much blow china and north Korea off the face of the planet...we have all found out over the past two weeks that North Korea is about 70 years behind us when it comes to nuclear capabilities...and China is not as awesome as people think...we are FAR AND AWAY the most advanced country in the world when it comes to weapons...remember that Reagan build "star wars" when he was in office...we basically a nuclear shield that surrounds the country...if we were to go into all out war with China and North Korea we would destroy them...EVERY OTHER country would side with us...Britian, Australia, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Russia, and yes...even France. China will never go to war with us...if they do they lose the country that they make all their money from...plain and simple...we control the worlds economy...if we co to war with a certain country their economy will crumble because so many other nations would refuse to deal with them... I'm getting really sick and tired of nations like North Koria...if they want a war we should give them one...the problem is that we would have to totally withdraw from Iraq...that would destroy any hopes of that country moving on. I have a friend that works with the U.S. Weapons Development Dept. he is not allowed to tell me what goes on...but he said that the stuff that we have just blows his mind...things that no other country has...things that the American people don't even know we have...stuff that i really want to see  ! |

Umm Star Wars has never worked, every few years they test the newest version and it never comes close, the point isn't whether we could win a nuclear war, since if there was a large scale nuclear conflict it wouldn't matter who won. We can't win a land war in Asia, we couldn't even win Vietnam. |

Yeah I was thinking China is really a bunch of farmers. Just saw a report on Yahoo, 55 million women in China are illiterate. I have this book forgot what it is called but it is about China and India and their uprisings. They are becoming advanced nations that need energy and will be countries that have a huge influence on the world because of their size. With these 2 countries become industrailized the energy source we currently use will vanish quicker. My book talks about China and India and what the "future leaders of the world should know."
Our techonology is very advanced I know that. No country in the world could bring us down and defeat us. The only advantage China has is of course size. At camp I remember a British cadet (10 british cadets came down to the camp) asked one of our active duty sergeants who was in charge of our platoon if the U.S. could defeat Britian in a war. We were talking about Iran and North Korea and how we can wipe out anyone we wanted to but we dont want to use war or whatever and the British cadet asked that. Our sergeant told him, "Yeah, without even setting a foot down on land." The British cadet kind of looked at him like he was crazy though, but what he said was true.
Anyway, someone needs to teach North Korea a lesson. Whether it be Japan, the U.S., or all of us, something needs to be done with them. They need to know they cant just do that whenever they want. He doesnt ever feed his people yet comes up with money for long-range missiles.

Umm Star Wars has never worked, every few years they test the newest version and it never comes close, the point isn't whether we could win a nuclear war, since if there was a large scale nuclear conflict it wouldn't matter who won. We can't win a land war in Asia, we couldn't even win Vietnam. In 1960. Today's technology has brought us here today with stealth bombers and satillite GPS bombs, UAV bombs, etc. China and the rest of Asia are stuck in the 60s technology wise. |

Oh the camp I was at is an active duty military training post. At the camp had many militaries. At dinner we often ate with Italian, Czech, Polish, German, French, and other international military members. The training is led by the U.S. military and they train some of the European militaries. We ate at the mess hall, or dining facility on post. They all stayed in american barracks like we did.
