What Im saying is you are only going to have 40million or so in cap, maybe. So that means you can only max 2 at a time and if that money is used up doing that you cant sign someone that you really want to with that money. You can take the gamble if you want.

you are right but I will take the gamble, I mean I can't get stuck with the players though.

You could what if the team that is supposed to match doesn't sign on for a couple of days and misses the match period all together. Obviously it would veto the trade, I understand that you are saying you can't back out of deals but this is kind of a different story.

that is why I believe they should just get the max because I will be offering it to all of them and they can not rescind the trade........ it was processed so techniqually they don't even need to sign on to match they have to.

I'm not sure what to choose yet - Either 1) The player trading away their RFA automatically matches any offer or 2) If BOTH parties agree to cancel the trade, it can happen. If either side wants to force it through, they can, like normal trades.

I like option #2 on this one, if someone goes for 15 mil, like Darko, Sactown should at least be given the option to get out of the trade, or maybe come to some type of compensation to get out of the trade. It would also prevent people from running up contracts with the fear of getting stuck with something they actually didn't want.

i have made a sign and trade, and if my players go over a certain amount, the trade is denied because he doesnt have the cap space to take on the extra money, so a max contract to any of my players would just cancel the trade. he cant take the trade if salaries dont match.

Also the gm's should have thought about the money before they agreed to a sign and trade correct? What would be the difference if I offer the guy the max and be like oh wait I do not want him now?

I hate option 2 for a simple reason, we were very clear that we were allowing sign and trades before the signings, but a team had to take whatever contract the player agreed to, if the trade becomes impossible the team receiving the player should have a short time, say a week to clear cap space. I don't think you can let people back out of trades they made.

if both parties agree we have always allowed back-outs. if both agree I think on Sign and trades at the very least you should have to accept any contract that works under the cap.
