Stackhouse and Knight are both expiring and he's getting the pick of the worst team so far.

I dont understand, he's gonna get 13 million in cap space and probably the #1 pick in the draft.

cap space is overrated. possibly the first pick is not worth stephon marbury, krstic, brown, and another 1st rounder (top 10 at this point, will only get better after this trade). you wouldnt be so willing to make this trade if you knew it was. and where did you get 13 million only jerry stackhouse is a fa next year, bobcats have a team option on knight
and why would you want marbury when you already have johnson and iverson in the backcourt?

at first i didnt think it was that bad of a trade, but now that i look at it it is. its not that you are getting marbury, but you are also getting shannon brown and nenard krstic, two young guys with a whole lot of potential. yes you are giving him a first rounder as well, but hes giving you one right back. a more far deal would probably be stackhouse, knight, and 2 firsts for marbury. thats just my opinion though.

I think the deal would be fine if he got to keep his own pick Marbury's deal gets worse and worse every year, and shannn brown hasn't done much A good pick, two good players who will be FA next year and a pick is enough I think

this is better:
Stephon Marbury 18,281,250 Shannon Brown $2,643,600
for
Brevin Knight $4,400,000 Rasho Nesterovic-$7,280,000 Jerry Stackhouse- $7,500,000 New Orleans First rounder in 2007

if you are looking to rebuild through free agency and the draft, the FIRST thing you do is KEEP your young talent, for example Krstic and Brown, because they are *inexpensive* and good. SECONDLY you need to keep your lottery picks especially! dumping marbury for expirings and a good pick is a good start, but dont give up krstic, your pick, and brown (who starts for cleveland now) in the process, thats way too much of a sacrifice.

All I'm trying to say is that he came to me with the offer. If you want to reject it then fine, but when people like Kobe are traded for complete crap in trades and this one doesnt pass.... I just dont understand that. NEW YORK came to CHICAGO with this offer!

I just dont understand that. NEW YORK came to CHICAGO with this offer! Please dont base your trade offers on trades that have been passed in the past. There are a lot of horrible trades that have ruined teams (See Houston Rockets trading away Yao Ming). We are learning from our mistakes and trying to avoid them now. This isn't a fair trade for the reasons many people have posted above, and while trying to prevent a completely lopsided trade from ruining another team, I reject.
