Ladies and Gentlemen the 2006 NBA GM League Champions, the Detroit Pistons!
PG Kirk Hinrich SG Kobe Bryant SF Ron Artest PF Kevin Garnett C Theo Ratliff SF Mike Dunleavy PF Antonio Mcdyess SG Boris Diaw C Derrick Coleman PG Jeff McInnis SG Gordon Giricek SG Juan Dixon PG Carlos Arroyo PF Christian Laettner SG Francisco Garcia
Owner of the Detroit Pistons and GM James Hunter: Each one of these players worked extremely hard to bring the championship back to Detroit. Every single one of our opponets was tough and we never gave up. Our motto was imprinted in our heads and shinned on the court, "Goin to work. Everynight." Every ounce of effort paid off for these guys and our whole organization can walk away winners, champions, and can hold our heads high. We have been there. We have done that. We set a goal and accomplished that goal. We became a family, became brothers. We gave it our all every single game, and now we have the NBA title to show it! We had ups and downs, but through the thick and thin we stuck together. Thats what makes this organization special. We stuck together and here we stand tall and proud. Here we are, top of the world, here we are, NBA Champions. This is what we set out to do in the beginning and so this is what we have done. I gave Detroit what I promised I would, a NBA Championship. I foresee many more to come as well, Detroit. This is only the first of many. We will become a dynasty. We will be feared. We will reign as champions for years. We will be the baddest of the bad boys. We are the Detroit Pistons and no one can take that away. Can I get a Hoo-rah? So I say to the fans of Detroit and all of Detroit's natives: Mission Accomplished.
I will now field any questions.

Are you listening to any offers for any of your main players?

You always listen. Teams will ask about certain players and you always listen. However I do not plan to send anyone out. My team will stay intact to the best of my abilities. Possible minor, minor movements but nothing major. We also plan to bring in some new guys as well. In the end I will do what is best for my team, however you will see most of my guys back for next season.

Do you plan on resigning Mike Dunleavy, or Theo Ratliff? Who in free agency is your main target?

Mike Dunleavy and Theo Ratliff are important pieces to our franchise and we will do what we can to bring them back for next season. We are currently talking to both of those players about returning.
As for free agency targets, we are looking for solid players off the bench. Mainly we will be going after big men to help our frontcourt situation.
Next question.

At the time that is undisclosed. Again, we will do what we can to keep this team intact. Our main goal this offseason is to keep this team together and be as ready as possible for the next season with players that are already comfortable with each other.

Do you plan on bring the title back to Detriot agian next year?

These guys won it this year, I will hold on to most of them so I expect to be right back in the running for another title. I will be disappointed at anything less than a championship. I feel we have a new dynasty on our hands with this organization.
Next question.

Do you have a Team Leader? and how does the chemistry of this team help you?

Every member of our team brings a certain amount of leadership experience to the club. There are a few who are more experienced and guide our team, yes. Our designated Team Captains are Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant, however each member of our team helps to lead this team which is why we are here today.
Our chemistry plays a big role in our locker room. You can't just put a bunch of players together and hope to work out problems. Take the New York Knicks for example. Our club is a team that works together for a common goal and does what needs to be done to win. They understand that and that is why we are the champions. When each player came here I made it clear to them to get rid of any egotistical, statistical attitudes and work with each other. They have done what I asked and our chemistry is very strong. Like I said, we are a family.
Next question.
