My predictions..
In the West.. Hopefully, the Lakers will continue with there injury struggles and I can sweep them. I can see Memphis taking a game or two, but Dallas should have that covered. I think Denver vs New Orleans would definately go to 6 or 7 games, that's a good matchup, I expect Denver to take it though. I can see Portland upsetting Phoenix, in game 7. Both are really good teams, Phoenix was just unlucky enough to get matched up with them.
In the second round, Spurs vs Dallas, two great teams that deserve to be in the finals, I have a bad feeling Dallas is going to win, but I'm going to go ahead with my team because well, I believe in Wade, Lebron, and Duncan. I expect to then see Portland also upset Denver, and move into the finals, where they are beaten by the Spurs.
In the East.. Indiana has a good team on paper, they just aren't playing well together, I can see Detroit sweeping them, but I wouldn't put it past Indiana to take a game. Miami vs Cleveland is going to be a good series, but I'll give the edge to Cleveland because he has 2 of my old starters lol. New Jersey and Boston have had a rivalry all season about trying to get that Atlantic Division, but I'd expect the Nets to take the series. Orlando should be able to contain the Raptors enough to move on.
In the second round, I imagine Detroit should be able to handle Cleveland and take the series in 5 or 6, not a sweep though. They will meet New Jersey in the Eastern Conference Finals. I think the Nets have a slight advantage over the Magic. Wallace and Camby can cancel each other out, neither will score more than 10 points because of how good the other is defensively and how bad they suck offensively. Posey will be shut down by Kirilenko, but should be able to slow him down as well, because AK47 isn't too good offensively without Poseys defense bothering him. Webber should be able to outplay Walker. But their is a big advantage to the Nets backcourt, I'll take Kidd and Carter over Miller and Jones any day. I like the Magic's bench better, it all depends. Then, I would imagine Detroit could hold their own against the Nets and move on to the finals, where I expect them to win it, unfortunately.

I think San Anotonio will get there and they could possibly play NJ. I don't see Detroit winning the East with Theo Ratliff starting.

But he is starting next to Kevin Garnett.
There have been worse starters on championship teams.

lol SA...you are overating my team wayy too much.. . My team even getting passed the 1st round of the playoffs is an honor. But its all good cause i aint complaining. Im just happy how much my team has jumped along with Golden State. Western Conference1.San Antonio 35 12 2.Phoenix 28 16 3.Denver 26 21 4.Dallas 35 12 5.Memphis 29 17 6.New Orleans 28 23 7.LA Lakers 25 23 8.LA Clippers 24 23 9.Portland 23 2410.Sacramento 19 26 11.Seattle 19 27 12.Golden State 18 28 13.Minnesota 16 29 14.Utah 10 38 15.Houston 9 36 [/quote] That just proves anything can happen from here on out. I'll say..Spurs win it all against Detroit. But watch out for New Orleans and Miami as my sleeper teams from both conferences.

If you had made the trades you made during the offseason, you're team would be atleast a 4th seed, based on the complete turn a round your team has had. McGrady and Yao is enough to lead a team into the second round, and a supporting cast of Stoudamire, Korver, Murphy, and Smith is very nice.

Pg - Steve Nash Vs Damon Stoudamire Sg - Stephen Jackson Vs. Kyle Korver Sf - Rashard Lewis Vs. Tracy Mcgrady Pf - Amare Stoudemire Vs. Troy Murphy C - Jermaine O'Neal Vs. Yao Ming
i'd say that is gonna be one heck of a matchup between me and Phoenix if it all comes down to it..

I completely agree....this is definately not for this topic but since you brought it up, do you think we could bring something like that to the forum? I liked the GM View thing you guys had going on the results site but I guess it didn't completely work out. If we brought something like that to the forum, everybody could write whatever they want, whenever they want. We could review trades, make predictions, assess our teams and others, and completely add another dimension to the league. I guess it would be more of a media/newspaper section. What do ya think?

I think this league will get much better when this season is over. We will weed out a few bad teams/owners, give it a new look and be more organized, and then we can have each member write articles whenever they feel like it on trades, signings, etc.

It seems like a quick thing to add to bring back a little more interest to the league. It won't take away from any other excitement of the sims themselves but it can replace some that was lost after the trade deadline. Just my two-cents, but it's probably worthless.

the comment about ratliff starting...
theo ratliff is playing excellent for me. hes everything i need in a center. hes no ben wallace, but he has an inside presence that intimidates opponents. 12.1 PPG 8.2 rebounds. thats all i need really. i think my depth is good too. coleman off the bench provides me with good center depth and dunleavy, diaw, mcinnis, and mcdyess all give me some pretty good depth. i like my chances, but i fear meeting san antonio in the finals
