Old Mock 6/11
1. Philadelphia- Greg Oden- C- Ohio St
Obvious reasons
2. Chicago- Kevin Durant- F- Texas
Again, obvious
3. Minnesota- Brandon Wright- F- UNC
Minnesota is in need of a big badly and Wright is a possible franchise player
4. Milwaukee- Corey Brewer- F- Florida
Martell Webster has not progressed as expected, so it is time to look in another direction. Brewer should be a tremendous pickup.
5. Utah- Mike Conley Jr- G- Ohio St
Will come in and start immediately in Utah
6. Utah- Al Hortford- F/C- Florida
Will add a tough minded big to an already good, young front line. Bogut, Hortford, Bargnani, Foye, Conley could be really dangerous for years to come.
7. Sacramento- Yi Jialian- F- China
Has tremendous potential and is the best player left available on a team that needs a whole lot.
8. Washington- Julian Wright- F- Kansas
Versitile forward could start at either forward position
9. New York- Joakim Noah- F/C- Florida
A team with a lot of needs, Noah's defensive presence and energy would help out this team immediately
10. Boston- Spenser Hawes- C- Washington
really need help inside with their bigs aging. Hawes is a big with tremendous upside and could be a Brad Miller type center
11. Toronto- Jeff Green- F- Georgetown
Need help at both forward and center positions. Green could be a great help on the team.
12. San Antonio- Acie Law- PG- Texas A&M
A team with not a whole lot of holes. Need a backup PG or C and Law would be a great fit
13. Utah- Thaddeus Young- F- Georgia Tech
A combo forward with large potential. Could replace Marvin Williams as the SF or at least put some pressure on him to pick it up.
14. Boston- Nick Young- G- USC
Will come in and challenge Pietrus for the starting SG spot if Boston resigns him.
15. Charlotte- Rudy Fernandez- G- Spain
Will add a great outside shooter to a team without one.
16. Boston- Josh McRoberts- F- Duke
Hawes and McRoberts could be the great white wall for the Celtics for many years to come.
17. Portland- Javaris Crittenton- G- Georgia Tech
Only need a PG to complete the starting lineup and Crittenton could be their man.
18. Chicago- Derrick Byars- G/F- Vanderbuilt
Would be a great backup for Pierce and would be set up as the future at SF.
19. Utah- Aaron Affalo- G- UCLA
Now Utah has a player at every position with the chance to be special. Will also provide a good defensive guard
20. Indiana- Jason Smith- F- Colorado St
Nice jump shooting forward will be a great compliment for O'Neal
21. Minnesota- Tiago Splitter- C- Brazil
Need a C and Splitter is probably the best available
22. Sacramento- Rodney Stuckey- G- Eastern Carolina
Guard could be great scoring option on a team with almost none.
23. Dallas- Glen Davis- F- LSU
Big man has dropped 25 lbs over the summer and could put himself in the first round. Davis could backup Brand and Miller at PF/C.
24. Chicago- Morris Almond- G- Rice
Underlooked guard because he went to a smaller school, but has the potential to be a great player.
25. Milwaukee- Sean Williams- F/C- Boston College
Had issues in college but could be a great backup for years behilnd Howard
26. Portland- Marc Gasol- C- Spain
Pau's brother could make a tremendous 1/2 combo at C in Portland
27. Pheonix- Alando Tucker- G/F- Wisconsin
Could be a great replacement at #27 if they lose Rashard
28. LA Clippers- Gabe Pruitt- G- USC
Clippers have a couple nice pieces but still Pruitt will have a chance to compete for the weak PG positon.
29. Utah- Marcus Williams- G- Arizona
Will give Utah a big guard to bring in to replace Foye if facing another big guard.
30. Seattle- Kyle Visser- C- Wake Forest
Team is in desperate need of a C and Visser is one of the best remaining.
