you cant possibly still consider the heat the favorite in the east. at least i dont think so. they are way to old now, and if they lose alonzo (though i doubt they will) they will be hurting even worse. i dont think miami can win another title soon either. this was their one shot at it. shaq is old, payton is old, posey might be leaving, mourning is old, their only player is dwayne wade really.

Bulls are incredibly overrated. They are a playoff team, but are not the favorites to win it. The east is completely up for grabs this year. Each team has obvious flaws now.
Miami is aging too quickly, they depended on people who should have been retired by now, but they might have just enough gas for 1 more defending run.
Detroit just lost their best player, which could end up working very well for them. Detroits game was playing rough around the perimeter and forcing the guards to attack the paint where Ben Wallace would do his thing. The league started changing rules that killed Detroit, they had no chance of winning it again. They became very strict about contact on the perimeter, hurting the Pistons D, and they were already pretty weak offensively, especially with Ben in the lineup. No Ben means a new gameplan, and because they already have the talent they need, Flip can find a new method for them to play and bring them back to the finals.
Cleveland has too many holes to be considered a favorite. Hughes is never healthy. Their PG situation is horrible, PF could be even worse if Gooden leaves through free agency. They need shooters and defenders.
Nets, if they get someone like Wilcox, could become the favorites, but until they get help in the front court, they will continue to get abused. And Kidd isn't getting any younger, they better do something quick.

thats what ive been trying to say haha. miami is too old, this was their one shot at glory. i consider the pistons the top team in the east still. yeah we lost ben wallace, but thats one player! he isnt invincible and although every piston fan loves him, we must admit, he can be replaced. i think if we get bonzi wells on our bench we will be pretty good. PG Billups/Hunter/Acker/Blalock SG Hamilton/Wells SF Prince/Delfino/Johnson PF Wallace/Mcdyess/Maxiell C Mohammad/Davis I wish we didnt trade Maurice though i liked him. Cheick Samb better of been worth Mo. And unless Wells costs us more then 9 mil (which is unlikely considering the only player getting paid double digits in our starting 5 is Sheed) then we will be in pretty good cap situation.

you will realize how important wallace was to the pistons when the season starts...he was the backbone of the piston's defense....and remember that the pistons are not a good rebounding team...wallace leaving is going to really hurt.
the pistons are no longer the top team...their time at the top of the East is over.

Ya bulls maybe overrated but i think they can come up as a 5th or 6th seed or even a possible 4th seed. I can also tell you that if Nets dont get a frontcourt quick they won't see passed the 1st round of the playoffs. I actually see Detroit falling to around 2nd or 3rd seed this year which is nowhere near from what they were last year.
My surprise for the East are the Bucks. Just cause i miss Charlie V that much haha.
