I went through each teams salary cap page and updated it for them slightly. I added a section: Money to spend, to each teams page. If it says MLE, you can bid up to $5,000,000 on one or more people (5 year max contract). If you have the LLE, you can bid up to $1.8 million on 1 person (2 year max contract). If you have a number, thats how much you can spend on free agents.
I am going to implement a new rule to keep things running the way they should. You can only offer the amount of money you have to spend to one person at a time. For example, if I can only spend the MLE, and I am targeting 2 players, I can't go and offer it to both and then pick one if I win them both. I can only offer it to Person A, and can NOT offer it to Person B until either I Withdraw my offer or I am outbid, then I can go bid on Person B.
If you are caught offering more money than you can offord - like your MLE to two people are the same time, you will LOSE all money to spend, and free agency will be over for you. This is very strict, but I feel entirely neccesary.
To give you guys an idea of who can spend what, I wrote up this list..
Everyone has the MLE except:
Washington: $38m under the cap
Seattle: $29m under the cap (Drew Gooden, RFA)
Miami: $23m under the cap
Denver: $23m (Wilcox, RFA / Nene, RFA / James, UFA)
Houston: $13m under the cap
Hornets: $13m under the cap
Charlotte: $11m under the cap
Clippers: $11m under the cap
Bucks: $8m under the cap
Only 3 teams will be able to offer max contacts (starting at $15 million)
free agency begins tomorrow at 4:30
