Voting for awards

What do you guys think about us voting for awards instead of having the game pick them? Same with All Stars?

In real life, players are voted in for the starting 5 of the all stars, and coaches choose the rest. We could have a secret vote for who is voted in. I could create a new account where people would send votes to, and I would tally them up and announce all stars a week before the all star weekend. Coaches won't be allowed to vote for their own players though!

We could do a similar thing for each other award. Pau Gasol is a lock to win it on the game, however, will he deserve it if he can't get his team into the playoffs? What about DPOY, MIP, Coach, Executive, All NBA teams, All Defensive Teams, All Rookies teams? Should we let the game determine it, or should we have a say in who gets it? This could bring a lot more activity.

definetly yes. just wondering though, will you sim the all star game with the rosters that we vote for, or is it just for fun.

All Star weekend from the main menu, i could change the rosters i believe. or i could just make two teams with those rosters (outside of our season) and have them play and then posts box scores

I'm about half way done with the All Star ballot.. should you just be able to vote for any 12 or be forced to vote for 2 centers, 5 forwards, 5 guards, or something similar?

Great idea...I don't care what we vote for, though I think it'd make for the most balanced team if we have to vote by position.

i say let the game do it, because the game knows all of the stats, and it knows who should get in. like DPOY, we dont know who deserves it really, but the game does.

It will be our job to look at the stats I will post at the end of the season and make educated posts. Base them on opponents points and rebounds, blocks, steals, etc for DPOY. Their isn't a computer that selects the DPOY in real life, I think we should choose it also on here. I can always post who they are in the simulations also, maybe give two awards out.
