the draft isnt the only difference, the main point is switching to real life salaries, getting rid of the stupid contracts that we make on here. the vet draft is a way to keep real life salaries and favor the worse teams to even out the field. or favor the best teams that have ridiculous contracts. san antonio will have lebron and wade at 15 million dollars each in our current rules but in these will have them at 12. not much, but it saves money for a big team. you will have chris webber at 20 million dollars in our current rules. that money will disppear completly because webber would expire at the end of this season, versus expiring next season. so it saves you money as well. what bad teams have horrible contracts? theres new orleans with cuttino mobley and thats all i can think of. Dallas has Stromile Swift, Houston has Tyson Chandler and Houston is a playoff team, Atlanta is a playoff team as well and has Peja Stojakovic, Golden State is a playoff team with Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Cleveland is a playoff team with Samuel Dalembert. All those teams are playoff teams, not lottery teams. This would help all the playoff teams and contending teams like Orlando, San Antonio, etc., and barely help the lottery teams because they have picks, they dont get to choose to go after who they want. So what if Milwaukee has the 10th pick in the draft? He wants Vince Carter and has the money to go after him but cant because VC is picked 3rd overall. Im voting no for this right now. Later? Maybe, but not now.

We might need to find a lot of new GMs this offseason, I'm a little dissapointed with the activity level around here

Wow, it's tied up at 11-11, and it's taking forever.
If this doesn't go through, or maybe even if it does, would any other dominating team be willing to give away one of their starters to a lottery team? I'll give away one of my big 3 if enough people commit to doing so, to spread the wealth out and give other people another chance.

just keep the rule we voted on before...... I know my team will go from a decent team to possible contender because I built my team for next year.

The other rule will help people manage money better and not just throw around ridiculous contracts.

If nobody else votes, it might come down for me voting as the last straw.
I could easily break the tiebreaker.

If we stick with the same rules, would anyone besides me be willing to donate some good players to lottery teams? You can choose to 'adopt-a-GM' and help them out and give them a new start by giving away a star player. Maybe you could ask for some picks in return.

If the vote is close, no way should the rule be changed. Half the GMs(well, almost half) will be opposed to it. I personally believe that a rule should go through if the overwhelming majority are in agreement. Just my two cents.

Ok well what is the point of doing a poll if it doesnt really matter what the outcome is. Your not going to make every GM happy. So far i have yet to see anything that has been a majority decision.
