Team: Milwaukee Bucks
Conference, Division: Eastern Conference, Central Division
Star Player(s): Larry Hughes Dwight Howard Chris Paul
Major Additions through FA: Larry Hughes Bobby Simmons
Major Subtractions through FA: Michael Redd Dan Gadzuric
Preseason Record:(9-20)
The Milwaukee Bucks recieve an A++ for their offseason additions this summer. They got 2 up and coming stars in Larry Hughes (All Defensive 1st team last year), and Bobby Simmons(Most Improved Player last year) for only 21 million dollars combined. That is less than what Michael Redd got on the open market by himself. Trading away the #1 pick and recieving Dwight Howard eventually was another outstanding move by the Buck GM. You throw in the best PG in the class of 2005 and you've got yourself and up and coming team. Chris Paul was one of the nations best player's, and is the most highly regarded PG to come out since Jason Kidd. In today's day and age free agent's were going for an absurd amout of money. Ray Allen (22.3 mill.) Michael Redd (22 mill.) Eddy Curry and Tyson Chandler (over 35 mill. combined) Samuel Dalembert (over 20 mill.) Half of those players listed above have accomplished half of what Hughes and Simmons have accomplished in this league. With up and coming stars like Dwight Howard, Chris Paul, and Sean May improving every day, and veterans Hughes and Simmons providing the leadership, look for this team to make a splash in the East similar to what the Phoenix Suns did this past year.
