Major Additions: Ray Allen, Eddy Curry
Major Subtractions: Ricky Davis, Antoine Walker
Preseason Record: 16-13
For whatever reason the Boston Celtics is getting little or no hype for the upcoming season. Boston has the pieces in place to make a run deep into the playoffs. With the additions of Ray Allen and Eddy Curry they have added a proven superstar, and an up and coming top 5 center in the NBA. With Ray Allen and Paul Pierce running the wings, that is aruably the best perimeter scoring threat in the NBA, easily good for a combined 50-60 points each night. Al Jefferson and Eddy Curry have both shown offensive briliance and I look for Al Jefferson to have a major breakthrough season this year. Don't forget 2 top 20 picks in this years past draft, Hakim Warrick, and Andrew Bynum as well to help the Celtics bench out big time. With the unstopable scoring on the perimeter, and the up and coming big men inside, I see no reason why they aren't one of the most dangerous teams in the NBA. Mark it down, the Boston Celtics are my surprise team of the 2006 NBA season.
Offence Player of the Year= Ray Allen and Paul Pierce(Both can score 40 on any given night)
