The lottery is a chance for each team who did not make the playoffs to win the chance at owning the number one pick. Only the first 3 picks are randomly selected out of the lottery, because this prevents the team with the worst record from falling down past the 4th pick. After the first three are selected, the rest fall in order of record, or depending on who won the tiebreakers if there are equal records. The current order, before the actual lottery is, from worst record to best is:
1. Utah Jazz 2. Houston Rockets 3. Atlanta Hawks 4. Washington Wizards 5. Charlotte Bobcats 6. Minnesota Timberwolves 7. Sacramento Kings (Won coin flip vs. Seattle) 8. Seattle Supersonics (Lost coin flip vs. Sacramento) 9. New York Knicks (Won coin flip vs. Philadelphia) 10. Philadelphia 76ers (Lost coin flip vs. New York) 11. Los Angeles Clippers (Won coin flip vs. Chicago) 12. Chicago Bulls (Lost coin flip vs. Los Angeles Clippers) 13. Milwaukee Bucks (Won coin flip vs. Golden State) 14. Golden State Warriors (Lost coin flip vs. Milwaukee)
This means that Seattle ultimately has the chance of getting the: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 8th, 9th, 10th, or 11th pick in the draft.

We could have our own lottery or we could also just base it on the lottery in real life, if the team with the 8th worst record wins the lottery thats how it would be on here.

Yaaaaa im mad happy my raps got the number 1 pick with only an 8.8% chance of landing it. Im telling you, Colangelo is gonna do some wonders for this team. This guy actually has balls to draft anyone he wants taking into who there franchise players want and what the fans want, not like Babcock. Imho, it will go down to Tyus Thomas, Aldridge, and Bargnani(which looks very possible right now). In his PC earliar in the day he couldnt stop talking about Euro players.

Ya but i really wanted Aldridge for the raps. For the Hawks, they should go Tyrus Thomas (insurance for when they ship Harrington) or the best Point guard availible in Marcus Williams or Randy Foye.

I heard Toronto would rather ship the pick out for some quality veterans. It would be huge if they could ship it for someone like Rashard Lewis
