Celtics send: Josh Howard (RFA)
Bucks send: Hedo Turkoglu ($6,373,900), Pick #4
We are both under the cap enough to make this deal work in any scenario

wait how can a sign and trade work before the draft?

That is true. The Bucks will have to draft for Boston, and if Boston doesnt resign Howard then Milwaukee will have to live with that pick. Make sure both teams know and understand that.

well if we are still using the player agent method, then it really shouldnt be a problem.

Well actually it does. Which is what I like. What if Howard doesnt want to Milwaukee? Or he gets a slightly lower offer from a winner? Player Agents make things more realistic.

well when you think in terms of real life, has there ever been a sign and trade that has been agreed to by all parties, and then the player didnt re-sign with his team?

I'm not saying he wont in this case. But in the past all sign and trades have worked out because the Free Agent being traded was included as a party that had to agree.

NJ, normally that would be right, but he is restricted. Boston can match any offer that is given to Howard and do as he pleases with him. Howard has no choice in this one, unless for some reason his agent convinces him to only accept the qualifying offer, 1 year for a few million, over a lucrative long term deal in an ideal situation.
Good looking out though, Bucks will have to select whoever the Celtics want and Celtics will have to accept any deal that Howard is offered.

so why do we not just max josh howard right now? I guess that would be the logical thing correct because I intended on maxing him anyway.

I don't know if you are changing this rule, but in the NBA draft picks can not be traded in a sign and trade deal. i don't like the idea of letting it happen inthis league because you don't know waht the salaries will be. if we approve this then Boston and milwaukee should not be able to make any more trades or signings until this trade has officially happened, as they cannot know what their cap numbers will be.

i wouls say ok but in FA we will not be able to sign anyone plus we both have almost 30 mil in cap space and i kno no neither of us will go over the cap and then we would lose out on FA. Just no more trades till he signs ill agree to that.
