Seattle already has Darko and likely will want to develop him into a starting center and have him step in before Wallace's ccontract expires in 5 years. Nets have nobody else who would even take minutes away from Ben. They have a more complete team and are certainly a championship contender, unlike Seattle (even if they sign Big Ben).

that makes more sense. but wallace will be old then, and NJ obviously has confidence that he will get wallace over seattle

I respect Nets decision to stick with what's best for their franchise and should still land Big Ben back. It is the right thing to do in this situation because Ben should choose to stick with them, and it won't keep the Nets' crippled financially for an extra season.

Another reason I don't blame the Nets for not wanting to lock him up for the 6th season as he would be turning 37 that season.

they should take in to consideration a few things. ben wallace wants to be the man on his own team, he went to the bulls to be the best player, he didnt get enough touches on the pistons and that made him mad. he would get all the touches he wants on the sonics and a lot less on the nets with kidd carter posey and walker. just throwing my 2 cents Be honest, you just want him out of your conference lol

Ben still went to a situation where now they are one of the favorites in the East, and won't be in a losing situation. Seattle still wouldn't be an elite team with the addition of Wallace.

Ben said he wants more touches this is true. He wants a more strict coach, I read that in an article as well. He was loved in Detroit, why did he leave? The whole system. As long Detroit is in the league New Jersey doenst have a chance at getting a title, let alone to the finals, so why would Ben stay there?

either nets are going to lose ben wallace and fall out of contention completely, or seattle is going to either get him and ruin their future or not get him and lose gooden and butler because they were dicking around with ben

New Jersey's and Seattle's offers have now stood for 36 hours and will wait for the committee's decision on who Ben Wallace will sign with.
