Check out which teams are available in the "Available Teams" thread. If you like one of the teams, and plan on being committed here for a long time (atleast one full nba season), then go ahead and request one of the teams. Please, do not waste our time and sign up, make a trade or signing or two, and then never come back.
DO NOT attempt to make multiple accounts and sign up for multiple teams, I will check IP addresses of each new member, and ban anyone with multiple accounts.
Make sure you read the rules (in the Announcements forum) of how everything works before you start trying to build your team.

My advice, really think about each move you are going to make. Is it really going to help your team? Don't be annoying or cause any problems with other members, we don't need any drama. Please take this seriously, as a lot of us do, and we don't want you to ruin it for us. Do not cheat, that only takes the fun out of it.

yeah forizzle, we are pretty serious and experienced GMs. have been doing this for a whole year and i think out of the 1,000 proboard leagues we can probably say we are the only ones to have completed one full season (including the 05 rookie draft and FA) AND continue into a new season. we are a very successful and competitive and great league that looks to continue for years

I just have 1 question, I am not saying you guys are cheating or anything but can you guys explain to me how the 2 top teams Spurs and Pistons have the best teams.
Because IF cheating is not allowed, then either the salary cap is too high or they must of done rip off trades like Lebron and Wade and Kobe for so and so.
and you guys said rip off trades aren't allowed.
But I think rip off trades are some times good because you are trying to help your team be in the best possible position, even though the other teams are suffering.
I know you guys are tryin to promote competition but doin FA won't work forever sometimes you have to do rip off type trades.

well yeah, rip off trades do happen, but obviously they didnt have to rip the teams off when you start with the best teams in the first place. i remember it was rasheed and a bunch of other throw ins for kobe. it wasnt that bad, and it helped both teams

yes but if the other person feels strong about the deal and NEEDS the deal, [has AK47 and Lebron at sf but for example needs a pg [tony parker] or somethin along with depth],what i am sayin is GM's may want depth and a good player rather than a great player it is fine

so in other words ripping of people in trades is okay as long as you don't cheat right?

the trade has to get approved by the committee. both owners present their case and the committee will either accept or deny.
1) Kobe Bryant for Rasheed Wallace, Darko Milicic, Lindsey Hunter, Ronald Dupree 2) Kevin Garnett for Chauncey Billups, Ben Wallace 3) Rip Hamilton, Kwame Brown for Joe Johnson 4) Joe Johnson for Ron Artest 5) Michael Finley, Christian Laettner, Bruce Bowen, 06 1st, 06 2nd, 07 1st, 07 2nd for Steve Francis 6) Steve Francis for Kirk Hinrich, Bonzi Wells 7) Bonzi Wells for Mike Dunleavy
those are my bigger trades in a nutshell. minor players for contract issues were left out though. you wanted to know how so i told you. ive made dumb moves in my career yes, and some pretty good ones too.
