This is just an idea, but I was thinking how much more fun this thing could be if we did a draft. We could have a draft of all the players while still keeping their contracts and everything. The way we have it now, the teams who inherited the best teams have the best teams. This would truly simulate being a GM of your own team. After the trading deadline passes in a few weeks this site is going to get alot more dead. We could do the draft then, and we could still finish this years simulation at the same time. The draft order would be picked randomly and it would be a snake draft. Each team could get something like 12 hours to pick their player, and even though it would take a couple of weeks, we do have the time. This way every team would pretty much start out even and we could get all the teams that have been ditched filled again. In my opinion this would be alot more fun. It's just an idea though, and I'm sure I'm going to get ripped for it, but I thought I'de just put it out there and maybe we could have a vote or something.

I have thought about that, I would like to do that along with this. I don't want to give up on this league at all. But that would be a fun side-league. The problem is, we don't have 30 active members on here anymore, and someone else would have to run that league, but I think Detroit/Atlanta would be up for that.

I wouldn't want the other league to start until the trade deadline, and make it over before the playoffs start. Sim it much quicker. It would be a great time killer during the slow time in between.

fantasy draft, ok sounds good. heres the rules. we do the draft, and have a 1 week trading period. after teams are set, we do a best of 3 tournament with the whole league.

the matchups go like this: team that drafted 30 overall plays team that drafted 29 overall. team that drafted 1st overall plays team that drafted 2nd overall, etc on down the list. it moves on in a best of 3 until we have the champ. conference doesnt matter because the matchups are according to the draft picks

how would the draft go? would the team that had 1st overall pick also get 31st? or would they get 60th, and the team that got 30th also gets 31st?
Because if i was the 30th overall pick i might not be having as much fun as if i was 1st lol

did you see what i propsed? that it start after the trading deadline and end before our playoffs start? that wouldn't take away anything from this league because their won't be much going on, except scores. no more possible trades or anything.

It would be a snake draft so that the team with the 31st pick in 1st round would get the 1st pick in the 2nd. I'm not sure what is wrong with New Jersey but she's probably on her period. By the way, my team is fine, and Shaq is going to retire a Cavalier. I have aroung 35 million in cap space next year. After I resign Shaq I'll still have between 12-15 million to pursue other Free Agents.

yeah like that. last pick of 1st round gets 1st pick of 2nd round. the tournament is matched up like i said, 30 plays 29 in best of 3, 28-27, 26-25, 24-23, etc.

All that sounds good to me. It might not be 30 teams though, because some teams might not want to do it, like NJ.
