I don't understand how people think it will take over, if you've been in one of these leagues before you know how boring it gets between the trade deadline and the playoffs, i think this will liven things up, otherwise I'm sure people will just stop checking after the deadline

i dont understand either. it wont take over the league, dont fear that, im sure committee members wouldnt let it happen if it started to. and yes it would get boring during that time period, its a time passer, and it will be fun.

ok look this is what would happen...we do the draft and tournament, teams like houston and stuff with bad records have no reason to check the site until the offseason really, this keeps everyone involved and active, good thing. another thing is this will be over BEFORE the playoffs start. probably like 10-15 games before the playoffs start, so as soon as its over, everything that was about means nothing, playoffs are starting up. as soon as that happens, the focus shifts back to this league. then the offseason, and everyone is back on for FA, trading, drafting.
this fantasy draft is a really good idea, do you see now NJ?

just a time passer...i at first didnt like the deal but i feel its a very good idea. i didnt like it for the same reason you dont toronto and NJ, but just think for a second..its not that bad

i think we should do it. san antonio how should the picks be assigned? ill check to see if i can choose the random option when i do the draft, if i can ill post the results. for teams who dont have an owner (charlotte, phoenix, etc.) lets these new guys come in and do the draft, its a perfect chance to see if they are committed and smart GMs. they basically run the other league-team, and if they are good and committed, can have the real team starting in the offseason. for the remaining teams with no owner still (indiana or whoever) i will not be them in the draft and the computer will draft for them, i will announce the pick.
this sounds good

Doing another league pretty much just like this except with a fantasy draft where everyone starts from scratch. Obviously those who don't think they have enough time to manage 2 teams wouldn't do this, but those who can manage 2 teams, I don't see anything wrong with it. PM if you're interested.
