THIS IS BULLSHIT!!! I DONT EVEN KNOW WHY WE ARE CONSIDERING THIS!!! THIS LEAGUE WONT BE DEAD AFTER THE DEADLINE IT WILL BE MORE ALIVE THAN EVER!!!!...IT WILL BE INTERESTING DOWN THE STRETCH FOR CONTENDING TEAMS AND FOR THE REBUILDING TEAMS THEY CAN START PREPARING FOR THE SUMMER!!! TRUST ME....PEOPLE WILL CONSIDER THIS LEAGUE THE "OTHER LEAGUE" IF WE DO THIS BULL SHIT IDEA!!! There will be nothing to actually do for some time in this league after the trade deadline, and the proposed tourney would be over by the time this league gets to the playoffs, so noone would have anything to ignore, except maybe minimal roster adjustment

New Jersey. Calm down, seriously. This league won't be affected by that. This is a longer lasting league, the other thing is just like a side game. It's like playing the allstar game during the real season, it doesn't count for anything, and nobody takes it serious, it's just for fun.

the draft picks should be assigned...randomly? how? just have everyone pick a team, and then select random serpentine draft on the game

everyone should do it, it would be time passing. like the yahoo draft we did, just for time passing. of course everyone will be checking the games everyday that denver posts and watching that. by time the end of season nears, this will be long over

Maybe this was a bad idea to bring up. I actually ment for it to become the main league after this year is up. I just thought that the teams that inherited bad teams will never be into this at all, and I don't blame them. For a side league I think drafting the players would take way too long and stuff. I do think it is hilarious how New Jersey got all into it like that. You know you don't really own any of these players right?

oh you know what. it will be a 30 team draft. those who are members and doing it will pick the players, i will do the season like denver did where i am every team EXCEPT the teams that have no owner (IE phoenix, golden state, etc) computer will draft for them

my brother inherited the atlanta hawks, 8 people total, 7 rookies. he did bad this year, but isnt giving up. he has just cleared 32 million dollars for the offseason, he is still getting players that are expiring. he is expecting to have over 40 million dollars this offseason. good owners on bad teams dont give up, they look at it as a challenge

I do think it is hilarious how New Jersey got all into it like that. You know you don't really own any of these players right? Everyone had a good chance. The Hornets were bad last year, but they had draft picks and cap space. The Knicks had no cap space but had expiring contracts, draft picks, and some talent. The Raptors had high picks and cap space. The Pistons didn't need anything. You are right, the teams like mine had an advantage because I got to start with Duncan, Ginobili, and Parker. But there are teams that did bad last year that are good in this league, like the Magic, and their are teams that were good last year that are bad in this league, like the Rockets.

yeah, the guy before me gutted my team, so I stockpiled young guys, expiring deals and picks, this season is obviously going to be a failure, but I'll have a top 5 pick, and 1 or 2 more lotto picks, plus 30 million or so to go after a premiere free agent, or 2 or 3 solid guys

this way, we could see who is truely a good gm. start everyone out fresh, in a best of 3 tournament. but everyone MUST understand this is nothing but a time passer

i unlocked the thread, maybe everyone cooled down now. lets just see what everyone else thinks. I would not let the fantasy draft take over this league for next season, that was a bad idea.

i its a very good idea actually. its NOT going to take over the league like SA said, cause if more people focused on that, me and detroit would just stop the whole simulations. and its only a best of 3 tournament, nothing else, i think. its just a fun, time passer.

and if we didnt stop the simulations, SA wouldnt allow it to go on anymore, probably, it would be all good. trust me.
