quit your damn whining. last year ray allen, michael redd, larry hughes, joe johnson all switched teams on here. nobody wants to give you their players or let you steal them because you inherited the league. we were doing fine when the bobcats didnt have an owner, we aren't changing everything the please you

Makes no difference really, it was announced well after the trading deadline, so teams would have all the same free agents whether that rule was changed or not the max cap doesnt scare people away from trading for people, it makes them want to more, if anything. that wouldnt have affected any trades.

why did those players get away you see their damn contracts. If I had ray allen I would max him but I wouldnt give him 23 mil. There is a big difference having max contracts and no max deals.

hughes got 13 million thats not crazy
and even people that get bad contracts, swift, can be traded for the #2 pick overall, you just have to find the right idiots

No my point wasn't that it effected trades, but rather that it doesn't matter if something was announced in April or tommorrow they have the same effect, since april is post deadline, you couldn't change what free agents to be you have.

bobcats you just game into this league, before commiting to that team you should have realized what you were going to be able to do, maybe resigning people isnt possible. the rule shouldnt be changed so soon.

yeah the right idiots til they quit. I mean the guy who gave mobley 16 mil quit. what about all those other bad contracts most quit. I just want to make the league as fair as possible. I mean my team will be hurt when okafor and felton come free agents but I can deal with it as long as the league is fair. Even detroit the champs and powerhouse agrees it should be more fair.

and my point was that one of the rules affected the way you view free agency and one doesnt I disagree, they both change how you view free agency. IF I was over the cap and say... Bogut was a free agent, if there was no max, I'd be afraid I was going to lose him to someone who is gonna offer him some obscene deal, if there is a max however, I know I will at worst get him for the max, which is a fairly reasonable amount to pay.

regardless of the decision that is made one side is going to be upset. if there is this much controversy over the FA system, then there must be something wrong with it

there is, the people with crappy teams expect to become contendors overnight.
if we had commited people who realized they had to play by the rules to win, this would be easy.
especially if we sped up the simming. 2-4 years in the span of one. this eliminates down time, gives the bad teams more of a chance to compete faster.

i have no problem going 1 season at a team. I like the idea. Ask wizards I tried to get his draft pick for next year. Obviously I am here to stay. But the rules dominate the strong teams that is why it need's to be changed. I dont expect to be a powerhouse over night. But I should be able to have felton stackhouse okafor number 1 pick and cap room and compete. The free agent system is flawed right now.

i am the owner of a crappy team, i dont intend to become a contender overnight. however i do feel i should have the chance to sign a legit all star caliber player if i have the money to do so. even if i signed, lets say Shaq (just an example) i couldnt go out & sign that many other all stars, so then id fill role players around him. but signing shaq would be a start to rebuilding, know what im saying?
