MANDATORY VOTING - YOU DON'T VOTE, YOU CAN LOSE YOUR TEAM
I think some people are under the impression that they will never have a chance to win it all on this league. After this season, should we start all over again? We have a lot of options we can do. We can keep the same teams and continue as we have been. We can continue with the teams, but with new contracts (Swift wont be making $19 million a year). We can start over with our real life teams ( I have Duncan, Ginobili, Parker again ). We can do a complete fantasy draft. We can do a fantasy keeper draft (You can keep a set number of people before doing the draft). Or there are other things, like if you want the same teams but have a different idea, choose Yes- other.
Whichever the majority votes for, will happen. Some people may leave, many people will complain, think about this before you vote.
If you think we should keep the same teams, but have every GM switch teams, vote "No - other"

start over with a fantasy draft, its only fair. if you start with real life rosters, the same thing will happen again. this league wont last without new teams, cause so many teams have been torn apart and abandoned(sp?). i dont think we should make it where if you have the worst record then you get the first pick, maybe just a random order some how, and make it a snake draft.

I feel its too early. San Antonio knows that I came to him earlier this season, before the season even began, and told him at the end of the season that the teams have become so separated and contracts so different that it will be hard for this league to survive. I suggested to do a fantasy draft at the end of the season for our league, which I think is a good idea to help it survive. Im going to vote Fantasy Draft, hold on to 3-5 players, so you can hold on to a part of your team you built.

I feel its too early for this though because we are going to lose focus on this season, and some people will not even care about it this season. I dont care what we're doing, but I am going for the repeat this year.

haha, keep 3-5 players on your team, then why do a fantasy draft when everybody is going to keep their best players, that makes no sense. detroit keeps kobe, garnett and hinrich, SA keeps lebron, wade and duncan. after every team keeps their players, then what will be left to draft

i have done so much work to dallas, i went from
nesterovic joe smith kendall gill rondald murray tyronn lue
to
samuel dalembert kenyon martin richard jefferson mike miller earl boykins
and its so hard to give that up because ive done so much, but for this league to survive, it needs to restart, or it wont survive. only few teams will stick around if you keep these teams. i really dont want to give up my team, but i know i cant win the championship, ever, so why keep my team anyways. i want to restart so this can survive.

that fine...but i just don't like the idea of giving up (remember...i'm not a democrat jk) if the league wants to vote for a fantasy draft, i'm cool with it...change might be good. but i'm still going to vote against it.

Keeping the teams the same is not the problem, people need to either make trades or wait for the draft or free agents. We need to work out our free agent system and then I feel that everything would be fair, but making the rules up each year to benefit the teams that are good anyway to keep their free agents and go over the cap by whatever it is. I think we need a hard cap and some way to restrict the signings of each team, this is a GM league and keeping players perhaps should not be fair because that is the strategy that each GM must make.

Well, I don't really know how my team got ruined, but id like to start over with same old rosters.(Yao, Tracy). But i think im gonna go with the fantasy. But also, if we continue for many years to come. Starting over all the time isn't going to get us anywhere. This shows the TRUE skill of a GM and his capabilities of making his team better.

Just making a poll is rediculous. This is a GM league, if you are a good GM you will dig your team out of its situation. The goal of this league is to be realistic. Do you think that NBA teams in the gutter felt as if they should have a fantasy draft because they have no shot at winning? C'mon guys, get real!

I'd love to keep my team, I have put a lot of work not only into getting each player on my team but also keeping this league afloat in general. I voted to keep them how they are, as NJ and LAC said, but supposedly nobody feels like they have a chance to win as long as my team is here. Half of me wants to say let those babies quit, and the other half wants to say let's all get a new start after I win my championship lol.
I was thinking about this the other day too.. Instead of a hardcap where you can't go over at all, just make like.. $60,000,000 normal soft cap or whatever, and anything over $70-75 million you don't get an MLE or LLE at all, so you cant sign new people. Also, I think it would be a good idea for us to keep the same teams but start over with contracts, make everyone go to the deals they have in real life.
